Edmonton Eclipse

The Edmonton Eclipse were formed in 2006 to provide another Jr A franchise in the Edmonton region. Local lacrosse representatives in both the Calgary and Edmonton regions were acutely aware that the Edmonton Miners and Calgary Raiders had boldly pioneered Jr A lacrosse in the province of Alberta. However, their inspiration and hard work would be in vain if we could not ultimately develop a full Junior A league.

The Calgary Mountaineers and Edmonton Eclipse were both formed in 2006 for that purpose and at the same time to maintain the provincial balance of power at the Junior A level.

Our league continues to improve every year and we continue to aspire to compete on a level playing field with the cultural hotbeds of lacrosse in both Ontario and British Columbia.
