Raiders Break Minto Losing Streak

After years of failure on the national stage, the Raiders have defeated an out of province squad at the Minto.  Following a tight 11-9 loss to the Adanacs, the Raiders managed to topple the Shamrocks by a score of 13-10.  Zach Mantei led the Raiders with five points in the game.

Now that the Adanacs have been eliminated from the tournament, a rematch is now in store for us.  Victoria and Okatoks will be competing for a spot in the finals tonight at 7:00pm PT.  The winner will go on to face the Orangeville Northmen and earn a chance to claim the Minto Cup. If the Raiders manage to succeed over the next few days, they will be the first team out of Alberta to ever claim the national championship since the inauguration of the tournament.
